A landmark in Turkish animation and in-flight storytelling.
Still played before every Turkish Airlines flight, “The Art of Safety” has reached millions of passengers since its debut in 2019 — making it one of the most-watched Turkish films ever created. Produced entirely by Lighthouse VFX, this timeless piece redefined flight safety communication through animation, artistry, and innovation.
Developed in just six months by a team of 30 artists, the project was handled from concept to completion: scriptwriting, storyboarding, design, 3D animation, post-production, mastering, and 20 aircraft adaptations. The film also introduced a historic first for Turkish Airlines — an animated character using sign language for hearing-impaired passengers, crafted entirely with hand animation, no motion capture.
Years later, “The Art of Safety” continues to stand as a benchmark of Turkish animation quality, admired for its cinematic look, technical precision, and enduring beauty.
