Oktay Nikseresht
Art Director
Oktay Nikseresht, an art director and visual designer from Iran, is part of the Turkmen community.
He began his artistic education in 2002 at a technical high school, where he specifically studied graphic design, and he graduated in 2012 with a degree in Visual Communications from the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran.
During this period, he received several notable awards. In 2006, he won a student award for Best Directing in a short film. In 2007, he won third prize for an animated film at the Roshd Festival in Tehran. In 2010, he was not only a prize recipient at the Tasvir-e-Sal Festival for a short film but also a candidate at the Tehran International Short Film Festival. In 2011, he was honored by the same Tasvir-e-Sal Festival for a poster design.
Between 2012 and 2017, he remained engaged in personal and local projects such as comic strips, illustration, experimental films, and other creative endeavors.
In 2017, Oktay joined Lighthouse VFX, where he worked extensively on storyboarding, digital painting, and character design.
This period of creative work culminated in 2022 when, after the company won the prestigious Kristal Elma (Crystal Apple) award in Turkey for best design, Oktay was promoted to the position of Art Director.
